The Nomor test lab owns a powerfull, full scale and standard compliant LTE and HSPA network emulator that can run in real-time. As part of the professional serive the real-time network emulator can be used to develop and test IP based applications. It is fully calibrated with today's LTE or HSPA networks and already supports future releases of the standard.
The real-time capability of the emulator enables application developers, service providers and network operators to test applications and services under live conditions. The emulator provides the option to directly get feedback on the perceived Quality of a Service and makes optimization and feasibility test possible before those networks become broadly available or before services get integrated in real networks.
The emulator can be used by the software engineers for various purposes. It emulates fully the network configuration, the mobile channel and the physical layer in a multi-cell, multi-user environment that models all effects on user as experienced in a real system. Optional extensions allow interconnecting several emulators based on the principles of SAE (System Architecture Evolution) to test applications and services also in handover situations.
The emulator can be used on per hour or on project basis. The user can configure the network layout, the number of users, UE capabilities, underlying traffic models, network parameters etc.
