Nomor’s application test environment neatboxTM for HSPA, WiMAX or LTE is a powerful, yet low-priced, network emulator, designed specifically to meet the needs of design teams that want to develop and test applications, services and application layer technologies for future mobile devices in emulated network environments.
The real-time capability of the emulator enables application developers, service providers and network operators to test applications and services under live conditions. The emulator provides the option to directly get feedback on the perceived Quality of a Service and makes optimization and feasibility test possible before those networks become broadly available or before services get integrated in real networks.
The emulator, a PC based development environment, can be used by the software engineers for various purposes. It emulates fully the network configuration, the mobile channel and the physical layer in a multi-cell, multi-user environment that models all effects on user as experienced in a real system. Optional extensions allow interconnecting several emulators based on the principles of SAE (System Architecture Evolution) to test applications and services also in handover situations.
The emulator can easily be configured with the Nomor Scenario Editor. The user can configure the network layout, the number of users, UE capabilities, underlying traffic models, network parameters etc.
