Nomor Research is a fast growing profitable start-up company based in Munich. We are leading in the area of real-time system emulation and protocol development and are specialized in the implementation of future radio access networks. In sustained research projects with strategic partner companies we develop, implement and standardize leading edge technologies such as High Speed Packet Access and Long Term Evolution.
We are always looking for highly motivated students that are interested in future mobile communication and have prooved to perform above average. Working as a student at Nomor offers you the opportunity to gain already hands-on practical experience in future not yet deployed communication systems and to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during your academic studies. This also means you always get the chance to work on specific projects suitable for diploma theses and will have practial relevant experience for a future positions in the industry. Our research staff and our close contacts to universities ensure the best possible supervision of your work.
Required qualifications:
- Work experience in OOP programming like C++ or scripting as TCL
- Understanding of digital signal processing and/or radio /network protocols
- Knowledge of wireless communication technology or standards such as GSM, UMTS, HSPA, WLAN, LTE, 4G
- Work experience in simulation based analysis e.g. MATLAB, simulink, ns2, OPNET
You will be closely integrated in our research and software projects.The minimum period for an intership or working student assignment will be 6 month. Nomor Research works across all layers of mobile communications.
We are offering diploma thesis in the following fields:
- Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna systems
- Channel and QoS aware scheduling
- Self-organizing networks
- IP network and TCP transport Protocol as well as Mobility protocols such as Mobile IP or GTP
- Internet TV and IPTV
- Mobile TV
