Senior Software Engineer – 3GPP LTE (I-11-23)

To strengthen our LTE development team we are looking for a senior software developer with experience in link layer design or radio resource control/mangement for future wireless systems such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) or UMTS High Speed Packet Access (HSPA).
Based on system specifications you will be fully responsible to design, implement, test, and document specific software components and related APIs.
You will support the integration of those modules into Nomor’s or customer’s protocol stacks.
Depending on your experience your work can comprise the preparation of software deliveries, the generation and review of documentation and reports, as well as the attendance of customer meetings

Dipl.-Ing./MSc in Communications Engineering/Computer Science or similar
Minimum of 3 years of C/C++ based software development experience
Proven hands on wireless standards specification expertise (particularly LTE, WiMAX, or UMTS)
Software-Development-Tools: GNU Debugger (gdb,ddd), Eclipse, svn, hardware debugger (JTAG based)
Knowledge on Layer 1/2 signalling, scheduler design, RRC and RRM algorithms is a plus
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. TCL, PHP, Perl, Java), ASN.1 encoding/decoding, or MySQL database usage is a plus
Experience in programming of network processors (e.g. DSP, RMI XLS/XLR, ARM, Octeon, QorIQ) and code optimization as well as embedded programming is a plus
Languages: English is a must, German is a plus
